Tracy Aviary Avian Conservation Scholarship

Protecting and preserving Latin America’s rich biodiversity, which includes over 40% of all bird species, requires collective action from a diverse set of institutional actors, including zoos and aquariums. ZCOG and the Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City, Utah have therefore partnered to create the Avian Conservation Scholarship, which helps address critical conservation management issues for the region's highly endangered avifauna.

The Tracy Aviary Avian Conservation Training Scholarship provides Latin American zoo and aquarium professionals with an opportunity to attend the Association of Zoos & Aquarium's (AZA)
Avian Management, Biology and Conservation professional training course. While attending the course, scholarship recipients receive the most up-to-date training available in the field of avian biology, conservation and management.
