Woodland Park Zoo NatureStart Scholarship

ZCOG’s Woodland Park Zoo NatureStart Scholarship promotes the development of conservation educators working in Latin American zoos and aquariums by providing an opportunity to attend the Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo’s NatureStart course.  The course provides educators with the skills to develop play-based learning environments in zoos and aquariums, which have become important locations for children and their families to learn about and interact with nature in the region.

The Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, WA provides funding for this annual scholarship.

Congratulations to Montserrat Idalsoaga of Buin Zoo for being selected as the 2019-2020 Woodland Park Zoo NatureStart Scholarship recipient.
