Audubon Species Conservation and Management Scholarship

 

The Audubon Species Conservation and Management Scholarship was established by the Audubon Zoo and  Zoo Conservation Outreach Group (ZCOG) to improve records keeping standards in developing country zoos and aquariums, thereby promoting better animal management practices, supporting international collection sustainability efforts, and discouraging illegal wildlife trafficking.

 

The scholarship  is sponsored by the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Louisiana and managed by Zoo Conservation Outreach Group (ZCOG).

 

The scholarship may only be applied toward the Institutional Records Keeping professional training course.

REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Applicants must be employees or associates of Latin American zoological institutions or related facilities.  For this scholarship, preference will be given to keeper and curatorial staff.

  2. Applicants must possess a functional proficiency in English.

  3. Individuals may submit only one scholarship application per year.
