Western North Carolina Nature Center Conservation Leadership Scholarship (WNCNC Cons. Lead.)

The Western North Carolina Nature Center Conservation Leadership Scholarship provides supervisory and middle-management level professionals from Latin American zoological institutions an opportunity to attend the Association of Zoos & Aquarium's (AZA) Managing for Success professional training courses. While attending the courses, professionals from Latin American zoos, aquariums, and conservation organizations will receive the highest level of training available in the field of zoo and aquarium management. In addition, they will have an opportunity to share professional experiences and establish new partnerships with their North American counterparts. 

ZCOG and the WNCNC view the new Conservation Leadership Scholarship as critical to the development of Latin America's future conservation leaders. In addition, we view the new award as an important contribution to improved management standards among facilities that are on the front lines of a global effort to protect and preserve endangered species and their habitats.
