Zoo Conservation Outreach Group (ZCOG) is a non-profit coalition of North American zoological facilities dedicated to assisting Latin American zoos and aquariums in their regional wildlife and habitat conservation efforts. The group’s main focus areas are building conservation leadership capacity in Latin American zoological institutions and promoting the development of collaborative zoo and aquarium –based wildlife and habitat conservation programs throughout the Americas. The former is achieved by providing access to information and training opportunities through a well-coordinated International Training Scholarship Program, while the latter is accomplished by pooling technical, material, and financial support from North American zoological institutions and delivering these resources to our counterparts in Latin America and the Caribbean Basin.

Thank you for your generous donation. Your financial contribution allows ZCOG to continue providing ongoing tachnical, material and financial assistance to zoos and aquariums in Latin America and the Caribbean Basin.

This assistance helps enhance the quality of animal care, educational programming, and scientific research in Latin American zoological institutions. Moreover, it helps improve these facilities’ ability to promote long-term wildlife and habitat conservation throughout the region — extremely important work if we hope to save endangered species and wild places in the Americas.

As a collective network of concerned institutions and individuals, ZCOG is proving that by working collaboratively we can accomplish much more than any one of us could do alone. Indeed, together we are building the collaborative personal and institutional linkages that are necessary to advance global zoo and aquarium-based wildlife and habitat conservation efforts.
